The purpose of The Land Project is to reduce the costs and restrictions associated with acquiring and owning land. This is ideal for people who want to relocate to a country setting, yet remain close to modern essentials and do all of this for a reasonable (and attainable) price.

This can be achieved through a ‘Stratum Title’ which contains parcels of land that are individually owned under a lease. When you purchase a land-lease you receive the exclusive right to quiet and peaceful enjoyment of your parcel of land. You receive shares in a service company which owns common-use land where your parcel is located.

This mode of property ownership allows the expenses to be shared among the lease owners and reduces the initial and ongoing costs by eliminating the division of land into separate titles.

The land will be purchased and developed by The Land Project and divided into parcels to be owned by an individual or family under a 99-year lease. The land will be owned ‘in fee simple’ by The Land Project which will also be landlord to the owners of the leases.

Each participant can obtain a block of land as large or small as their budget allows which makes the project flexible to the needs of each individual and the community.

The land under lease will not be mortgageable. This ensures that creditors cannot interfere and secures the viability and longevity of each land project. These leases are transferable or saleable.

Only demountable homes will be permitted. A demountable is any non-permanent dwelling that can be removed in pieces on a semi trailer within 24-48 hours, without transport piloting. This provides freedom from regulation and makes it quicker and less expensive to get into your new home without sacrificing comfort or quality.
